Welcome and thank you for visiting my exhibit. With so much for you to take in at Atalaya, I’m so grateful for you to stop by.

Hi. I’m John and I’ve been obsessed with creating fine photographs for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Southern California and started with traditional, silver based (film/darkroom) photography. In 1989, I decided to travel east and photograph Charleston, South Carolina architecture. I never left. In 2006, after studying at Cone Editions in Vermont, I converted to digital photography and printing in monochrome carbon pigment inks. They are the best and most archival inks for black and white prints.

After 30+ years of displaying my work at the Piccolo Spoleto Outdoor Art Exhibition, I’ve decided to take my work on the road. This my first year applying and being accepted to the Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival. I’m so honored to be included.
